Hi, I’m Tarun — founder of MathPros and a lifelong fan of numbers. My love for math started early, solving puzzles with my dad and competing with my brother to finish worksheets faster.

That spark turned into a passion for problem-solving, which led me to earn a PhD in Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. While there, I also discovered how much I enjoy teaching — I taught advanced engineering courses and loved breaking down tough ideas in simple ways. After working in tech in the Bay Area, I decided to return to what truly excites me: helping kids build rock-solid math skills and confidence.
